iOS Terms and Conditions

These terms are an agreement between you and Bright Web Holdings Pty Ltd, the operator of Star Rewards. Apple is not responsible for providing or supporting Star Rewards. Apple’s own App Store and Media Services terms also apply to downloads, subscriptions, billing, and refunds.

Using Star Rewards

Star Rewards helps parents and caregivers organise routines, tasks, stars, and family-managed rewards. You must be legally able to enter this agreement and must supervise any child using a profile under your account. You are responsible for the information entered into the app and for how rewards and consequences are used in your family.

Your account

Provide accurate account information, keep your password secure, and tell us if you believe someone has accessed your account without permission. You are responsible for activity under your account unless applicable law says otherwise.

Subscriptions and Apple billing

Some features require an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple. The price, billing period, trial terms, and included features shown in the app before purchase form part of these terms. Apple charges your Apple ID account and manages renewal, cancellation, and refund requests.

Subscriptions renew unless cancelled through your Apple account settings before the renewal date. Deleting Star Rewards or deleting your Star Rewards account does not cancel an Apple subscription. You must cancel it separately through Apple.

Licence

We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Star Rewards on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these terms and Apple’s usage rules. You may not copy, sell, rent, reverse engineer, interfere with, or misuse the app except where law permits it.

Acceptable use

You must not use Star Rewards to:

• break the law or another person’s rights;
• harass, exploit, or harm a child or any other person;
• upload malicious code or attempt to bypass account security;
• access another person’s account without permission; or
• disrupt the app, API, website, or their service providers.

Your content and family data

You keep ownership of information you enter. You give us permission to host, process, and display it only as needed to operate and improve Star Rewards, protect the service, and meet our legal obligations. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Star Rewards available, but uninterrupted or error-free service cannot be guaranteed. We may maintain, change, remove, or replace features. If a material change affects a paid subscription, we will provide notice where reasonably possible and honour rights required by law or Apple’s rules.

Suspension and account deletion

We may restrict or suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or enforce these terms. You can request deletion inside the current app. Deleted accounts have a 30-day recovery period before permanent deletion from the active service. See the account deletion instructions.

Consumer rights, disclaimers, and liability

Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Subject to those rights, Star Rewards is provided on an “as available” basis and is not professional parenting, medical, psychological, or educational advice.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, family reward decisions, loss caused by unauthorised account access, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Apple-specific terms

Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support. If the app fails to meet an applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, as required by its rules. Apple is not responsible for other claims relating to the app. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce the Apple-specific provisions once you accept them.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and the parties submit to the courts with jurisdiction there, subject to any consumer law that gives you rights in another location. We may update these terms as the service or law changes. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them, where permitted by law.
